“And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may always have enough of everything and may provide in abundance for every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I write to you with a great need. Recently, I received a letter from the director of a religious nonprofit similar to CCRNO, though a good bit larger. In the letter he expressed that for many years their ministry had been “running to stay behind.” That is, though their ministries were always effective and growing, fiscally speaking, they always seemed to be playing catch up. I immediately identified with this.
CCRNO’s ministries are growing, and not just in size. The evidence of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those touched by CCRNO is overwhelming. Our Steubenville bus trip is adding a second bus this year. Our youth and young adult retreat grows in size annually. The Holy Spirit Women’s Retreat ministers to over 400 women every January. Our weekly youth group has 50 to 60 teens and young adults attending weekly, with some Sundays seeing over 80 young people coming together to pray! Last year, our very first Family Retreat sold out with over 100 people from 21 families registering, with many families testifying that they had never experienced the Lord so powerfully together as a family; we can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for this year's upcoming family retreat, which is already over three quarters full. And finally, we’re thrilled to announce that after a great deal of struggle to find a home, April 2026 will see the return of the Southern Regional Conference, which will be held at the Castine Center in Mandeville, LA!
Friends, God is doing great things. Yet, amidst the awesome works we are seeing, CCRNO continues to have great unmet financial needs. As I said above, we always seem to be playing catch up. While our events and ministries always either pay for themselves or get paid for by donations, our day-to-day operating costs are not being met. We are not a very large operation. We try our best to keep that side of things small, and to trust in the Lord to do a lot with a little.
I began by saying there was a great need. While we are working right now on long term solutions that will secure our fiscal well-being for the future, we have immediate more urgent needs. The clock is ticking on the money that funds our operations. It costs about $130,000 a year to run the ministry. The donations we receive cover about forty percent of that. This isn’t sustainable. We need our community, we need you, to step up and help us get over this hurdle. We have faith that the Lord will provide, as He always does. As the Psalmist says, “those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing.” We have faith that He will place on the hearts of all those touched by the ministry of CCRNO the conviction to step in and support the ministry in an extraordinary way in this time of need.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and thank you in advance for prayerfully discerning how you might be able to help CCRNO at this time. Please also pray about who you might send this to, in order to “widen the net!”
As we are fresh off the heels of the great celebration of Pentecost, may the Lord bless you abundantly with a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit! Please keep us in your prayers, as you remain in ours.
